The Constipation Center provides services for the diagnosis and treatment of constipation-related conditions, which can occur in individuals of all genders and ages. It affects up to 10% of the general population and, if left untreated for an extended period, can lead to chronic conditions, posing risks and complications such as colorectal cancer, hemorrhoids, bowel obstruction, or fecal impaction.
Constipation is defined as having fewer than three bowel movements per week, with some individuals experiencing symptoms of hard or difficult-to-pass stools.
